The appearance of the unique house of Mrs. Nguyen Thi Tong and her husband

Mr. Tong said that thanks to his diligence and hard work, he and his wife reclaimed the land of Lung Nga Nam, planted trees, saved money to build a house, and bought more land for cultivation. From here, the flock of storks came to live in the family's garden, which covered an area of about 1.5 hectares.

Seeing more and more wild birds coming to live, Mr. Tong's family decided to... give them land to live on and try to protect it. Since then, this place has been known as a "stork conservation area" with tens of thousands of individuals. Thanks to favorable natural conditions, the flock of storks has been growing and developing.

Uncle Ho's altar is solemnly placed in front of the house.

In 1982, Mr. Tong and his wife renovated the garden and opened an eco-tourism site; at the same time, they rebuilt the house, decorated it with many paintings recording folk songs and poems praising Uncle Ho's achievements, along with poems encouraging children to live morally... The house pillars were painted with beautiful winding dragons.

The house is decorated with folk songs, proverbs, and poems encouraging good deeds.

The house was built by Mr. Tong and his wife with their entire life savings, with more than 1 billion VND and took more than 1 year to complete. Uncle Ho's altar is placed solemnly in front of the house, with Uncle Ho's teachings written around the walls. "The house is about 200 square meters, but it took more than 1 year to complete. The reason was that at that time there were few building materials; stones and cement had to be broken from large rocks, collected little by little to have enough to build the house," Mr. Tong said.

Folk songs and proverbs are written at the entrance.

The extended family of about 80 people are all prosperous and successful.

Coming to Mr. Tong's house, everyone was delighted and impressed by the folk songs, proverbs, and teachings for children and grandchildren to be filial and grateful to Uncle Ho. In particular, next to Uncle Ho's altar, there is a picture with 7 things: "Eating a bowl of rice, remember the person plowing the fields/Eating a plate of water spinach, remember the person who made the pond/Eating a peach, remember the person who planted the roots/Eating a snail, remember the person who went fishing/I want to cross the river by boat, remember the person who rowed the boat/I want to lie in a hammock, remember the person who hung the rope/Standing under the shade of a tree, remember the person who planted the crops".

The poem in gratitude to Uncle Ho is carved right on the door of the house.

Right at the door of his house, Mr. Tong carved the following lines: "Warm clothes and full meals, thank you Uncle Ho"; "There is no better place to practice than at home/Worshiping your father and respecting your mother is better than becoming a monk"; "A flower is fragrant thanks to its pistil/A person has value thanks to his morality"...

The paintings tell about the life of Mr. Tong and his wife.

Over the years, Mr. Tong's family, from grandparents to children, have kept in mind Uncle Ho's advice and lived a useful life. He and his wife have 10 children and about 80 grandchildren. His children all have a prosperous, comfortable, and successful life.

The paintings on the wall tell about the life of Mr. Tong and his wife, from reclaiming land, building land to make a garden, then planting trees, working in the fields, and harvesting rice for hire.

In addition, the house is also decorated with murals about the life of Mr. Tong and his wife such as farming, harvesting rice for hire, herding buffalo, raising pigs... to take care of their children's education. "The paintings on the wall all tell about the life of my wife and I, from reclaiming land, building gardens, then planting trees, farming, harvesting rice for hire. Like the saying 'The wife brews wine to raise pigs, working hard day and night, no matter how poor, she doesn't complain', or the saying 'The wife plows, the husband works hard, together we work hard to raise our children'. Those are all the jobs my wife and I do to raise our children", Mr. Tong shared.
