
The Government has just issued Resolution No. 380/NQ-CP dated November 25, 2025 on solutions to overcome the consequences of natural disasters and restore production in localities in the central region.
Regarding social security work, the Resolution stated that the Ministry of Finance directed the Vietnam Social Security to make lump-sum payments of 3 months of pension and social insurance benefits (December 2025, January and February 2026) in the payment period of December 2025 for the four provinces of Dak Lak, Gia Lai, Khanh Hoa, and Lam Dong to create conditions for policy beneficiaries in areas affected by storms, floods, and inundations to overcome the consequences and celebrate the Lunar New Year 2026.
At the same time, Vietnam Social Security urgently issues and renews health insurance cards, resolves problems with health insurance examination and treatment procedures, and ensures that health insurance participants receive timely medical examination and treatment. Coordinates with the Department of Health and local authorities to guide medical examination and treatment facilities to ensure the health insurance examination and treatment rights of health insurance participants living in flooded areas.
According to the Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention and Control (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment), as of November 24, floods in the central and Central Highlands provinces have left 102 people dead and missing. Of these, 90 people have died and 12 are missing.
The initial economic damage estimate is 13,748 billion VND. The specific damage to the 5 provinces is as follows: Quang Ngai: 650 billion VND, Gia Lai 1,500 billion VND, Dak Lak: 5,500 billion VND, Khanh Hoa 5,000 billion VND, Lam Dong: 1,098 billion VND.
Currently, localities are continuing to review and summarize damage; clean up the environment and organize disaster recovery.
