Sharing international experience in anti-corruption enforcement

(Chinhphu.vn) - The delegation of the Supreme People's Procuracy (SPP) led by Deputy Director Nguyen Quang Dung recently attended the 6th Plenary Conference of the Global Network of Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Agencies (GlobE).

The Supreme People's Procuracy has just announced that the 6th Plenary Conference of the Global Network of Law Enforcement Agencies Against Corruption (GlobE) co-organized by the Supreme Procuracy of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the GlobE Network Secretariat took place from May 20 to May 23, 2025 in the capital Baku, Azerbaijan.

The conference attracted the participation in direct and online form of nearly 400 delegates from independent anti-corruption agencies, police forces, the Procuracy/Prosecution Service, the Attorney General's Office, asset recovery agencies and financial investigation agencies of countries around the world and international organizations such as: International Association of Prosecutors (IAP), International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL), World Bank, United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) ...

At the plenary session of the Conference on the topic "Creative application of non-trial solutions in resolving corruption cases", Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Procuracy Nguyen Quang Dung presented a speech clearly affirming the viewpoints, policies and political determination of the Party and State of Vietnam in the fight against corruption, introducing new regulations and approaches of Vietnam in the fight against corruption.

The presentation especially focused on asset recovery in the process of resolving corruption cases in Vietnam, and proposed a number of solutions to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of corruption prevention and combat at the national, regional and international levels.

The content of the presentation received welcome and high appreciation from members of the GlobE Network Steering Committee, Heads of Delegations of countries and delegates attending the Conference.

During the conference, the delegation of the Supreme People's Procuracy of Vietnam visited and worked with the Supreme People's Procuracy of Azerbaijan and held talks with Mr. Kamran Aliyev, Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuracy of Azerbaijan.

The two sides agreed to promote bilateral cooperation activities on the basis of the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between the Supreme Procuracy of the two countries signed in March 2025.

On the sidelines of the conference, the delegation of the Supreme People's Procuracy of Vietnam had bilateral meetings with delegations of the National Supervisory Commission of China, the Attorney General's Office of Brazil and the Supreme Prosecutor's Office of Korea to discuss and promote bilateral cooperation with agencies in the fight against transnational crime and protecting public interests.
