Vietnam Image Promotion Strategy: Enhancing Destination Brand Awareness

In the period from September 2025, video clips promoting Vietnam tourism will be broadcast with the participation of entertainment stars with top recognition in Vietnam and high recognition in some other countries.

In order to enhance the recognition of Vietnam's tourism brand at major commercial centers and major international airports in Vietnam, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho An Phong has just signed a Decision approving the detailed task outline "Communicating and promoting Vietnam's tourism on large billboards, electronic billboards, and public transportation."

Accordingly, the communication plan includes two main contents: advertising on light boxes at major international airports in Vietnam; promoting Vietnamese tourism on LED screens.

This decision aims to increase access to the right target audience including: International visitors who have just entered/are about to leave the country by air; international visitors who visit, check-in, have fun, shop, eat, etc. (large shopping malls); diversify destination communication channels, combining traditional forms (light box signs, large LED screens) and modern forms (LED video clips) to create a vivid, professional and memorable visual experience...

In addition, the strategy also aims to promote and introduce Vietnam's nature, culture, people and typical destinations to international tourists through the projection of images and video clips at major international airports in Vietnam and major commercial centers in Vietnam - places with the largest international visitor traffic and direct access to the target audience.

Promotional images showing the diversity and uniqueness of regions, as well as the image of friendly and hospitable Vietnamese people, contribute to enhancing the national image and building the Vietnamese tourism brand in the international arena.

From September 2025, Vietnam tourism promotion video clips (TVC) will be broadcast with the participation of top entertainment stars in Vietnam and with high recognition in several other countries.

The strategy is expected to directly reach international tourists, promote and advertise visually effectively. Promote and introduce natural landscapes, historical relics, scenic spots, tourist destinations, types of tourism, traditional craft villages, festivals, cultural and tourism events; moments of life, daily cultural activities, customs, cultural forms, folk arts, and culinary culture of the people./.

The tourism industry expects the number of visitors that can be reached when implementing the new promotion plan to be: In Hanoi (Noi Bai airport) is 30 million visitors/year; in Ho Chi Minh City (Tan Son Nhat airport) is 45 million visitors/year; in Ho Chi Minh City's commercial center is 10 million visitors/year;

In Hue City (Phu Bai International Airport) is 8 million passengers/year; in Phu Quoc (Phu Quoc International Airport) is 12 million passengers/year; in Da Nang (Da Nang International Airport) is 16 million passengers/year; Nha Trang (Cam Ranh International Airport) is 10 million passengers/year.
