Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy has just issued a notice requesting candidates to absolutely not transfer money to receive admission exam notices.
According to the announcement, the school said that recently there have been many cases of candidates being scammed. Bad guys impersonate post office staff or school officials, contact candidates via phone, text messages (SMS, Zalo, Messenger...) and ask to access strange links to transfer money to receive exam admission notices. At the same time, they ask candidates to provide their credit card information and security information (password, OTP code...) to check before receiving exam admission notices.

The Admissions Council of Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy confirms that all fees related to exam registration (including the cost of sending exam notices and admission notices via post) have been fully transferred by candidates when submitting their application. Therefore, there is no request for any other money transfer after completing the application.
Previously, many students were surprised to receive "notice of Ton Duc Thang University scholarship program for the 2025-2026 school year" with "huge" value.
According to the information that has been spread, this document looks quite professional with the name and logo of Ton Duc Thang University. However, the suspicious point is that the person who signed it is the Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation (Ministry of Education and Training) with the seal of the Ministry of Education and Training.
The scholarship value is "promised" to be very attractive, up to 950 million VND for students in faculties and majors on the list and 450 million VND for students in faculties and majors not on the list.
In particular, the document also requires students on the list to prove their financial status according to current Singapore Government laws when completing the application.
Ton Duc Thang University said the above document was not issued by the school. Last March, the school issued a notice to students about a situation where some individuals and organizations forged documents, signatures and school seals in recruiting students for exchange abroad and collecting money, in order to provide false information causing misunderstanding and affecting the rights of students as well as the reputation of the school.

Recently, the College of Radio and Television II also issued a warning about impersonating the police, prosecutors, courts, and even school principals to defraud and appropriate students' property.
These subjects contacted students through many popular platforms such as Zoom, Zalo, Messenger, Telegram... to make fake announcements such as: "study abroad scholarships" or asked students to provide personal information or transfer money to "temporary holding" accounts. These are all fraudulent acts aimed at appropriating property.
To protect the rights and property of students, universities and colleges recommend that candidates absolutely do not access strange links; be highly vigilant with links or QR codes of unknown origin sent via email, text messages or social networks; absolutely do not disclose credit card information, passwords, bank OTP codes to anyone in any form. Candidates and students should only contact and receive information through the school's official channels. When detecting signs of fraud, they should immediately report to the school.
Regarding a series of scams, the Ministry of Education and Training sent a document to the Departments of Education and Training and university and college training institutions on May 30.
To prevent and protect the rights of learners, the Ministry of Education and Training recommends thateducational institutions provide information and propaganda to warn about these fraudulent acts.
Scholarship programs implemented by the Ministry of Education and Training or granted by foreign governments through the Ministry are posted on the electronic information portal of the Ministry of Education and Training (
