Here, readers can learn about the inspirational stories of the nominated individuals, and freely vote for the most representative faces. Each participant, after registering with an email address, is entitled to vote once for each candidate and can vote for many different candidates throughout the program.
The “Honoring the Torchbearers” Award was held to honor 150 outstanding faces across the country - ordinary people who have made positive contributions to the development of Vietnam, while clearly demonstrating the spirit of resilience, solidarity, and aspiration for progress that SABECO has always pursued throughout 150 years of formation and development.
After more than 1 month of coordination between the Vietnam Fatherland Front system at the central and provincial levels, the program has compiled a list of nominations from all provinces and cities across the country. The nomination evaluation process is carried out under the close supervision of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, ensuring representation and social equity in different aspects from gender, age, ethnicity and religion, region, as well as occupational groups.
From the above nomination list, the Central Appraisal Council has screened, evaluated and selected 150 typical Fire-Passing Faces from all provinces and cities across the country with positive contributions in 06 key areas including:
- Education - Vocational Training: Honoring individuals who contribute to improving community capacity through vocational training, soft skills, career orientation or creating learning conditions for disadvantaged communities.
- Environmental sustainability: Honoring individuals with initiatives and actions for the environment, conserving natural resources and practicing sustainable lifestyles and production.
- Balanced Lifestyle and Community Health: Honors individuals who contribute to promoting active, balanced lifestyles and fostering a culture of holistic health and community responsibility.
- Community Development: Honoring individuals who work with the community through projects or initiatives that create positive change and help develop cultural life in rural areas.
- Culture - arts - sports for the community: Honoring individuals who have made practical contributions to preserving national identity, traditional culture or promoting artistic creation, folk artisans; individuals with sports initiatives or projects that contribute to promoting solidarity, building spirit, improving health, and encouraging a positive lifestyle.
- Science and Technology for the Community: Honoring technological and applied science initiatives that support sustainable development for local communities.
The Central Appraisal Council has been established to participate in the screening, evaluation and approval process to ensure the prestige and reliability of the award. Members of the Central Appraisal Council include representatives of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, representatives of the Dai Doan Ket newspaper and representatives of relevant ministries and branches, along with SABECO's leadership and experts in many fields.
The program's selection criteria are also developed in a suitable, fair and transparent manner, while giving priority to new elements from the community, individuals with practical activities but who have never been widely communicated or have never received major awards at the central or international level.
Based on a weighted scoring structure, including 70% of the score from online voting results and 30% of the score from the Central Appraisal Council's assessment, 15 Faces of the Fire Transmitter will be selected and specially honored at the Award Ceremony in Hanoi.
The “Honoring the Torchbearers” award is a meaningful initiative within the framework of the “150 Years of Heritage Rising” campaign initiated by SABECO. The campaign is a tribute to the 150-year journey of being associated with the Vietnamese beer industry and the strong bond between SABECO and the Vietnamese people. At the same time, this is also a testament to the brand’s long-term commitment to “brewing beer for a good purpose”, constantly developing and growing with the country through each period of prosperity.
