Sharing with the media after the match, Hai Long said: “I am very proud to play against one of the biggest teams in the world like Man Utd. When I step onto the field, I always try my best to not let down the audience.
Every minute on the pitch today was precious and memorable. Being on the same pitch with the world's top players like Man Utd is a great experience that I will always cherish."

In the match on the evening of May 28 at Bukit Jalil Stadium, Hai Long was the only Vietnamese player to start from the beginning in the Southeast Asian All-Star team, while Hoang Duc, Duy Manh, and Van Vi only entered the field in the second half. The Hanoi FC midfielder left his mark with 45 minutes of competition with famous Man Utd players.
If he had been luckier, Hai Long could have scored in the 6th minute. Receiving a pass from Coulibaly on the right wing, Hai Long passed center back Ayden Heaven before curling the ball past Onana's goal post, regrettably.
"I really like Bruno Fernandes' playing style and fighting spirit," Hai Long answered the question about who he would swap shirts with if he could choose, and the Portuguese star would be the midfielder's top choice.
Hai Long also shared his desire to play abroad: "Going abroad is not only my dream but also the dream of many other Vietnamese players. We all want to challenge and affirm our abilities on the world stage."
After the match at Bukit Jalil, Hai Long, along with Hoang Duc, Van Vi, and Duy Manh, will return home to join the Vietnamese national team to prepare for the 2027 Asian Cup qualifying match against Malaysia away on June 10.
