At around 8:00 p.m. (local time) in California, USA, Gerard Richard Williams and his wife Bich Tuyen attended a private party with relatives before the New Year.
After the party, the members sang karaoke and had fun. In a live video on his daughter's personal page (currently used by Bich Tuyen because she was attacked and lost control of her personal account - PV), Mr. Gerard attracted attention when he sang Xin loi tinh yeu - one of the songs associated with the name of singer Dam Vinh Hung .
Mr. Gerard performed the song with great passion and pronounced Vietnamese quite well. In contrast to her husband's concentration, Bich Tuyen kept laughing and teasing.

After the song Xin loi tinh yeu , he refused to sing the song Linh hon tuong da - also a hit by Dam Vinh Hung - and chose to perform the song Mot doi toi di tim toi .
Mr. Gerard singing a hit song by singer Dam Vinh Hung attracted attention when both are suing each other. First, singer Dam Vinh Hung sued Mr. Gerard Richard Williams after the accident on February 19. He believed that Mr. Gerard was at fault, so he sued for 50 million USD (about 1,270 billion VND).
After that, Mr. Gerard counter-sued singer Dam Vinh Hung, demanding $1 in compensation and an apology.
In the 338-page lawsuit, Mr. Gerard Richard Williams shared his love for Vietnamese history, culture and people thanks to his marriage to singer Bich Tuyen.
He especially loves Vietnamese music and spent time studying and learning the tones of Vietnamese. It took him 7 years to speak and sing Vietnamese fluently, fully appreciate his wife's singing and directly communicate with his wife's parents.
