Before performing the task of driving a vehicle to transport materials to ensure construction works in the southwestern border area, Captain Tran Van Thai, driver of Battalion 278, Engineer Brigade 25 (Military Region 7) always proactively and meticulously checks the technical conditions and status of the vehicle. Thai has been conscious of doing this job in a disciplined, strict, and scientific manner for many years.

Thanks to that, over the past 4 years, Mr. Thai has driven more than 2,200km to transport materials for construction projects safely, completing 100% of the assigned work. "Loving cars like children, cherishing gasoline like blood", Mr. Thai always has a firm grasp of the technical condition of the car and can always repair and fix common problems himself.

Dedicated and responsible, from 2021 to now, for many consecutive years, Senior Lieutenant Colonel Tran Van Thai has been awarded the title of Emulation Fighter at the grassroots level. Mr. Thai has become one of the typical examples of the 25th Engineer Brigade in terms of self-study, self-training, strict compliance with State laws, military discipline, and ensuring safety in performing tasks over the past years. The Brigade has promptly promoted Mr. Thai's example, creating a widespread influence in the brigade in emulating to ensure safety and strictly comply with discipline.

The 25th Engineer Brigade is a unit that both carries out training missions, is highly combat-ready, and participates in the construction of defense works and mine clearance. The intensity and specificity of the mission always pose many potential risks of insecurity and violations of discipline. Recognizing this, in recent years, the Brigade has implemented many breakthrough measures to improve the level of management and organization of combat construction works; ensuring absolute safety, good discipline and safety in all activities.

In implementing this, the Brigade has proactively done a good job of training and fostering cadres and employees through many forms of competitions, sports, research competitions, and on-the-job training. The Brigade focuses on training to improve the level of management and organization of combat construction works, ensuring absolute safety and strict discipline for the commanding staff, especially the staff directly working at the construction works.

The Brigade strictly implements the organizational, staffing, and force building forms; arranges and assigns appropriate technical staff and expertise, ensuring sufficient numbers and capacity to complete assigned tasks. Units do a good job of disseminating and assigning tasks; each shift has a responsible officer who closely monitors, inspects, guides, and organizes implementation. 100% of officers and soldiers of units directly constructing works are trained, fostered, and have a firm grasp of construction techniques. The units also pay attention to coordinating with departments, branches, and localities, doing a good job of mass mobilization, ethnic and religious affairs in the areas where they are stationed and where the works are constructed.

From the practical tasks, periodically, the Party Committee and commanders of the units organize democratic dialogues with officers and soldiers, promptly resolve difficulties, and create high solidarity and unity throughout the unit. In addition, the Brigade invests in technical means to gradually implement mechanization in construction, ensuring science, efficiency, improving labor productivity, saving costs, and safety.

The Brigade maintains and strictly implements the technical work order and regime, ensuring the correct technical coefficient for groups of motorbikes and technical vehicles, along with promoting research, initiatives to improve technical quality, and effectively applying them to performing tasks. Over the past 5 years, the Brigade has had 23 initiatives applied.

According to Colonel Pham Van Nghia, Brigade Commander of the 25th Engineer Brigade, during the implementation process, we directed the staff to do a good job of inspection and promote the role of superiors guiding and helping subordinates; at the same time, we assigned specific tasks, clearly defined people, work, products, and completion time, and assigned specific responsibilities, thereby promoting the staff in performing the tasks.      

Synchronously and drastically implementing many practical solutions, in the past 5 years, the Brigade has improved the quality of regularity, disciplined training, and compliance with State laws, creating a comprehensive change, increasingly going into depth and solidity; the unit has no serious discipline, and common discipline violations have been reduced to the lowest level. The construction work and the organization of bomb and mine detection, have completed their tasks well, ensuring absolute safety, building a clean and strong Party organization, and a strong unit in all aspects.
