Proactively transform operating models and expand linkage capacity

That was the direction of Mr. Le Ngoc Khanh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee at the 35th anniversary of the establishment of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Housing Development Joint Stock Company (HODECO) held on the evening of May 28.

On May 31, 1990, HODECO was a state-owned enterprise established under Decision No. 262/QDUB of the People's Committee of Vung Tau - Con Dao Special Zone. In 2001, the company was equitized with a charter capital of over 20 billion VND. Of which, the State holds 40%.

In 2007, HODECO officially listed its shares on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange with a charter capital of VND81 billion. After that, the charter capital continued to increase steadily over the years. By 2024, the company's charter capital had reached more than VND1,783 billion.

Mr. Doan Huu Thuan, Chairman of HODECO Board of Directors, spoke at the ceremony.

The company operates in the following fields: housing and urban area development; construction of civil, industrial and transport infrastructure works; investment and business of wharves and industrial parks; management of real estate trading floors, brokerage and valuation; management and operation of apartment buildings.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Ngoc Khanh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, emphasized that the leaders of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province highly appreciated and warmly commended the achievements that generations of leaders, employees and workers of the Company have achieved over the past 35 years. At the same time, he requested the company's leadership to carefully study the regional planning orientations, proactively transform the operating model, expand the capacity of linkages, and be ready to take advantage of new opportunities and chances, bringing the enterprise to integrate and reach out to the region and the whole country.

HODECO leaders performed the ceremony to transfer HODECO to a new development period after 35 years of formation and development.

On the local government side, the provincial leaders pledged to always accompany and share with businesses; continue to improve the investment environment, remove difficulties and obstacles in mechanisms and policies; provide specific instructions so that businesses can confidently implement projects on schedule and in accordance with the law, contributing to the overall socio-economic development of the locality.
