The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just decided to establish the Steering Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on science , technology, innovation, digital transformation and project 06.

The Steering Committee is headed by Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc and Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Tran Thi Dieu Thuy as permanent deputy head.

The Steering Committee has deputy heads including: Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Vo Van Hoan, Director of Ho Chi Minh City Police Le Hong Nam, Commander of Ho Chi Minh City Command Vu Van Dien, Director of Department of Science and Technology Lam Dinh Thang, Director of Department of Home Affairs Vo Ngoc Quoc Thuan.

The Steering Committee also includes members from the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, the Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Office, directors of departments, branches and leaders of relevant units.

The Steering Committee is responsible for researching and proposing to the City People's Committee and the Chairman of the City People's Committee directions and solutions to solve problems and give opinions on strategies, programs, mechanisms and policies in implementing breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation, digital transformation, implementing Project 06 and administrative reform.

Ho Chi Minh City also established 3 working groups to assist the steering committee, including: Project 06 implementation group headed by the director of Ho Chi Minh City Police; Science, technology, innovation and digital transformation group headed by the director of the Department of Science and Technology; Administrative reform group headed by the director of the Department of Home Affairs.
