President Vo Van Thuong sends congratulatory message to Turkish President

According to a press release from the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs , on May 29, President Vo Van Thuong sent a congratulatory message to Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the occasion of his re-election as President of the Republic of Turkey.

According to Türkiye's Supreme Election Council, Mr. Erdogan received 52.14% of the vote, winning a solid victory in the second round of elections on May 28.

According to Al Jazeera , the official results of the election in Turkey are expected to be confirmed in the coming days.

Previously, in the first round of voting on May 14, Mr. Erdogan defeated his opponent Kemal Kilicdaroglu by a safe margin.

On the evening of May 28, in his victory speech, Mr. Erdogan affirmed that he would be worthy of the voters' trust as he had shown over the past 21 years. He said that the most urgent problem facing Türkiye now is inflation, but this is not a difficult problem to solve.

Leaders of many countries around the world also congratulated Mr. Erdogan.
