In recent days, Ca Mau province has experienced prolonged heavy rains combined with high tides, causing local flooding in many urban areas, low-lying areas, riverside and coastal areas. Some traffic routes, such as National Highway 1A through Tan Thanh and Gia Rai wards, have been deeply flooded, causing difficulties for travel, production and affecting people's daily lives.

Faced with complicated weather developments, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has issued a document directing departments, branches, sectors, organizations and localities in the province to strengthen monitoring, proactively respond to and overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
Specifically, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee together with socio- political organizations, departments, branches and local authorities are requested to closely monitor forecasts and warnings about high tides, heavy rains and oceanography, promptly inform people to proactively prevent and arrange production appropriately.
The Department of Agriculture and Environment shall preside over the review of irrigation systems, dykes, and saltwater intrusion prevention sluices, and identify weak points for reinforcement and protection of crops, livestock, and aquaculture; at the same time, implement policies to support production recovery according to regulations.
The Department of Construction coordinates with localities to inspect and place warning signs on roads that are frequently flooded, ensuring safety for people and vehicles, and promptly repairing flooded, subsided, and damaged road surfaces.
The provincial police and the provincial military command are assigned to ensure security, order, traffic safety, prepare rescue forces and vehicles, guide boats to anchor safely, and absolutely not let people go to sea when conditions are not met.
The People's Committees of communes and wards are required to urgently review and evacuate people from dangerous areas when necessary, provide guidance on reinforcing embankments, draining water, and protecting production; and at the same time organize visits and provide timely support to affected households.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested all levels, sectors and localities to mobilize all forces, synchronously and effectively deploy solutions to respond to natural disasters, minimize human and property damage, ensure safety for people, stabilize life and production in the province.
