The Congress took place with the theme: "Competition to innovate, create, accelerate breakthroughs, bringing the country into an era of strong, civilized and prosperous development". In the period of 2021-2025, the Ministry launched more than 20 emulation movements, including 5 typical movements attracting a large number of cadres, civil servants and workers in the industry to participate.
These are the movements: joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses; joining hands to build new rural areas; promoting the development of synchronous and modern transport infrastructure and practicing thrift and fighting waste in the 2022-2030 period; speeding up the implementation and disbursement progress of the public investment capital plan for the 2021-2025 period; 500 days and nights competing to complete 3,000km of expressway.
From these movements, many typical examples have emerged, such as: Deputy Director of the Railway Project Management Board Chu Van Tuan, who and his unit worked day and night to complete investment preparation documents for two key projects: the North-South high-speed railway and the Lao Cai- Hanoi -Hai Phong railway.
Engineer Le Nguyen Hoai Nam, who has many good initiatives, masters flight control technology at the Southern Air Traffic Management Company; The Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board has made every effort to shorten construction time, bringing projects to completion ahead of schedule; Engineer Le Anh Dung has many technical innovation initiatives that have brought hundreds of billions of dong in profits to VICEM Hoang Mai Cement Joint Stock Company.
With that effort, the whole industry has accomplished many important goals, including completing 83 projects, starting 93 projects, putting into operation all component projects of the North-South Eastern Expressway in the 2017-2020 period and a number of projects in the 2021-2025 period.
At the congress, the Ministry of Construction launched the emulation "Cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers of the Ministry of Construction compete to successfully carry out socio-economic development tasks in the 2025-2030 period" with the theme "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Development".
Minister Tran Hong Minh called on all cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers to promote the spirit of solidarity, innovation, emulation and creativity, and make practical achievements to welcome the National Patriotic Emulation Congress.
