Through the program "Innovation and preservation of heritage in the digital world ", the parties will launch the hashtag challenge campaign #DiSanVietNam, calling on the community to create content about heritage on TikTok. At the same time, virtual reality technology (VR/AR) will also be applied to help users experience landmarks, museums and traditional arts right in the digital space.
Mr. To Van Dong, Director of the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Conservation Fund, emphasized: "Cultural heritage is the soul of the nation, but to preserve and promote it effectively, we need a new approach. Technology is the bridge that helps heritage reach the younger generation, helping them understand, appreciate and spread these values more widely."
Not only on digital platforms, games are also a potential direction in promoting culture. Dr. Nguyen Duc Hoang, lecturer at the Academy of Posts and Telecommunications, said: "Games can be a powerful tool to spread cultural heritage. If each game company puts a part of Vietnamese culture into its products, we can reach billions of downloads globally, helping the world better understand our history and national identity."
Mr. Nguyen Lam Thanh, General Director of TikTok Vietnam, shared: "Heritage cannot just be in museums but needs to live with the breath of the times. Live sessions about culture on TikTok have reached millions of views, showing that young people are really interested in heritage if there is an appropriate approach."
Within the framework of cooperation, the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Conservation Support Fund and TikTok will organize field trips to localities with many unique cultural heritages. The combination of technology and heritage conservation not only helps preserve traditional values but also opens up new opportunities for Vietnamese heritage to reach the world.
