According to Plan No. 2719/KH-UBND dated June 21, 2023 of the City People's Committee on organizing the 325th Anniversary of the formation of Saigon - Cho Lon - Gia Dinh - Ho Chi Minh City (1698 - 2023) and the 47th anniversary of the day Saigon - Gia Dinh City was officially honored to be named after President Ho Chi Minh (July 2, 1976 - July 2, 2023); activities to honor the role of family in social life; the 1st City-level New Rural Culture - Sports Festival in 2023, many activities were held at 23-9 Park (Area B), District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.

Activities to honor the role of family in social life include: Implementing a cluster of miniature landscapes, decorating and performing Southern amateur music; a water puppetry cultural and artistic area, a reading cultural area; organizing cultural, artistic and sports performances for children; organizing the commendation of "Typical cultural and happy families"; performing wedding costumes, ao dai, organizing cultural, artistic and sports performances on the theme of happy families; exhibiting photos about children and families; organizing a cooking contest "Family with Vietnamese cuisine" for 100 families.

Activities to celebrate the first City-level New Rural Culture and Sports Festival in 2023 include: Exhibition space for images, video clips, books, newspapers, and magazines about new rural areas; Display space, introducing modern agricultural models, OCOP products (abbreviation of the phrase "One Commune One Product" understood as "Each commune one product"), typical new rural construction images of 05 districts and the City; New rural culture and sports space, folk games; Organizing the Announcement Ceremony and awarding the decision to recognize OCOP products in the City in 2022.

Other activities include: introducing culinary culture to serve the public, domestic and foreign tourists; organizing the Hot Air Balloon Festival; Ho Chi Minh City Youth Movement Children's Arts Festival - Summer 2023; organizing the Children's Cultural Festival online.

Especially the art programs performed by the City Light Music Center on the main stage: Art program to honor typical Cultural - Happy families to celebrate Vietnamese Family Day (June 28) and respond to the 10th anniversary of International Day of Happiness (March 20) with the theme "Happy Family - Prosperous Nation", taking place on June 28.

Ceremony to announce and award the decision to recognize OCOP products in the City in 2022 (The first City-level New Rural Culture - Sports Festival in 2023) with the theme "New Rural", on June 30.
