The program is in response to the Day for Vietnamese Agent Orange/Dioxin Victims (August 10) and the 64th anniversary of the Agent Orange disaster in Vietnam (August 10, 1961 - August 10, 2025).

At the program, Lieutenant General Nguyen Huu Chinh, Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, said that among millions of Agent Orange victims, currently the whole country has only more than 626,000 people who participated in the resistance war and whose children were exposed to toxic chemicals receiving benefits. Many families have three to four victims, living in illness and poverty, and many families have fallen into exhaustion. The mothers and wives of the victims still cry silently, taking care of their husbands and children day and night in the endless pain and in a life full of hardships and difficulties.
The Organizing Committee calls on all levels, sectors, socio -political organizations, all classes of people, overseas Vietnamese and international friends to continue to strongly respond to the movement "Action for Agent Orange victims" launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. It is requested that the Government and people of the United States and international organizations continue to accompany and support Vietnam in its efforts to overcome the consequences of toxic chemicals and share the pain of Agent Orange - the President of the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin emphasized.
Through reports and interactions with victims and families of Agent Orange victims, the program brings viewers a realistic view, raising awareness of the community about the serious consequences of toxic chemicals during the war in Vietnam. Thereby, affirming the attention and efforts of the Party, the State, the political system, the staff and the Association at all levels, along with the support and assistance of the people, domestic philanthropists and international friends in the work of overcoming the consequences of toxic chemicals, caring for and fighting for justice for Agent Orange victims.

According to the report, in 2024 and the first 6 months of 2025, the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin at all levels mobilized and received support and assistance from many domestic and international organizations, businesses, and philanthropists, with a total value of over 773 billion VND. The donations were used to support livelihoods, build new and repair houses, rehabilitate, and give gifts during holidays and Tet, etc. This demonstrates the deep concern and sharing of the community, contributing to helping victims of Agent Orange gradually rise up and stabilize their lives.
The Organizing Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to collectives and individuals with achievements in supporting Agent Orange victims; received support from organizations, individuals, television audiences nationwide, and international friends who joined hands to contribute and help Agent Orange victims.
