Positive Discipline Education in Classroom Management

On the afternoon of May 24, at Thach Binh commune, the Departmentof Education and Training of Nho Quan district organized a seminar on positive discipline education in classroom management.

Attending the seminar were leaders of the Department of Education and Training, Nho Quan district, Thach Binh commune government, homeroom teachers of grade 7 of secondary schools in the district and a large number of cadres, teachers, parents and students of Thach Binh secondary school.

The topic of positive discipline education in classroom management was implemented through a class activity for grade 7 students, on the topic of swearing and the need to protect the environment, followed by a group activity on the topic.

Accordingly, 3 groups participated in the activity period, self-evaluated the group's activities during the week according to the preparation before each activity period, and reported in forms such as direct introduction, video presentation... highlighting the issue of swearing in the classroom and the situation of students littering in the classroom and in the school.

For thematic activities, groups learn about Uncle Ho through stories: Uncle Ho visits Kim Dong orphanage; make a collage depicting the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh and present one of his virtues.

The end of the class is the homeroom teacher's evaluation, stating messages to remember and reminding of tasks to be done for the following week.

Class activities are performed in a dramatic form, which is suitable for teenagers. It is gentle, fun, and does not punish, making them realize their own mistakes and voluntarily admit their mistakes to correct them.

In particular, with thematic activities, students learn and research about Uncle Ho's life and career, thereby actively studying, uniting, competing, being good, studying well, practicing well, and striving to build a happy classroom.

Through the topic, each teacher will gain more experience in educating students and effectively implementing the 2018 General Education Program.
