“I tell the story of My Chau in the past/ Her heart was placed on her head/ The magic crossbow was accidentally handed over to the enemy/ So her fortune sank in the deep sea” (To Huu). For every Vietnamese, the love story of Trong Thuy - My Chau and the magic crossbow of An Duong Vuong, seems to be known to everyone and always reminds us to be constantly vigilant against foreign invaders. This is also an attractive topic for those who work in theater. In the opening night of Sen Viet Theater tonight, the audience will have the opportunity to watch again the famous love story of Trong Thuy - My Chau through the new storytelling and staging of director - Meritorious Artist Le Nguyen Dat. Director Le Nguyen Dat revealed: "The work aims to criticize history from the perspective of today's audience - young people about events that happened in history, thereby fostering patriotism, loyalty, living with humanity, meaning and protecting the traditional values of the nation".
From the humanistic values conveyed, the work The Legend of Ancient Co Loa won the silver medal at the 4th Capital Theater Festival 2020 which ended in early October in Hanoi . This experimental Cai Luong play also brought home 2 gold medals and 2 silver medals for artists in Ho Chi Minh City.
