Gia Dinh Club and Van Hien University promoted to V-League 2

Gia Dinh and Van Hien University clubs won tickets to the 2025-2026 National First Division (also known as V-League 2) after winning the final match of the second division on the afternoon of June 22.

The 2025 National Second Division only has Group B left to determine 2 promotion spots before the final round. The 3 competing teams are Lam Dong (29 points), Van Hien (26 points), Gia Dinh (26 points).

Round 14 on the afternoon of June 22, Gia Dinh met Lam Dong, and Van Hien met Dak Lak . The result was Gia Dinh beat Lam Dong 2-0, and Van Hien defeated Dak Lak 1-0 to be promoted.

Thus, all 3 teams have 29 points, so they will face off against 3 teams. Van Hien University Club is at the top of the table with 29 points, Gia Dinh and Lam Dong Club both have 29 points.

Van Hien University Club won 2, drew 1 and got 7 points, Gia Dinh Club won 1, drew 2 and got 5 points, and Lam Dong Club won 1, drew 1 and got 4 points, so they cannot compete in head-to-head results.

Unfortunately for Lam Dong team, they led Group B of the second division for 13 rounds but in the end had to watch their two opponents break away at the decisive moment.

Coach Hoang Nhat Nam of Gia Dinh Club made his mark by bringing two teams to the top two in two consecutive years. Last year, Nhat Nam brought Dinh Huong Phu Nhuan to the top division but the team lost their spot.

Meanwhile, after two seasons of competition, Van Hien University will play professionally for the first time. The first team named after the university will compete in the National First Division in the 2025-2026 season.

In group A, Quang Ninh Club and Bac Ninh team are the 2 teams promoted to play in the first division next season.
