On the evening of November 5 at Thien Truong Stadium, Nam Dinh Club welcomed the Japanese representative - Gamba Osaka in the fourth round of Group F of AFC Champions League Two 2025/26, a playground known as the "Asian Cup C2".

Before this match, Nam Dinh was ranked second in Group F with 6 points, 3 points behind. Therefore, the home team at Thien Truong Stadium was determined to get a good result against the strong Japanese team.

The Vietnamese team lost heavily to the foreign players of Nam Dinh Club.
Right after the opening whistle, Nam Dinh entered the game proactively, however Gamba Osaka soon showed the mettle of a team with a lot of experience in the continental arena.
In the 8th minute, Rin Mito headed the opening goal after a cross from the left wing, helping the away team take the lead.
Conceding a goal, Nam Dinh tried to push up their formation to find an equalizer. Despite creating a number of chances in the second half, the home team's strikers were still unable to capitalize on their opponents' tight defense.
Goalkeeper Caique Santos and his teammates also played with concentration, minimizing pressure from Gamba Osaka for most of the remaining time of the match.
At the end of 90 minutes, Nam Dinh accepted a 0-1 defeat. After four matches, the Vietnamese team now has 6 points, behind Ratchaburi (Thailand) due to losing the secondary index, while Gamba Osaka leads Group F with 12 absolute points.
Although unable to win points, Nam Dinh's performance against a strong opponent from Japan showed the resilient fighting spirit and efforts of the players.
The Vietnamese representative will continue their journey at AFC Champions League Two with the goal of improving their ranking and maintaining their chances of competing for a spot in the next two matches.
