Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club has new foreign player for Asian Women's Cup 1

On the afternoon of March 1, Ho Chi Minh City Women's Football Club announced information about strengthening its forces to prepare for the 2024-2025 AFC Women's Champions League (Asian Women's C1).

The first contract under the guidance of coach Kim Chi is American center back Aubrey Rae Goodwill, born in 1998, with American nationality.

The new signing will replace centre-back Talani Barnet, who left the club after the group stage ended in late October 2024.

Aubrey Goodwill started her career in high school soccer in the United States, played in the Portuguese women's third division with Real SC, and also played for California Storm and Sacramento.

Goodwill was named Most Valuable Defensive Player and All-Star during his professional career in Sacramento in 2021 and 2022.

In addition to Goodwill, Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club will certainly have additions in two other lines.

In the 2024-2025 Asian Women's C1 group stage, Ho Chi Minh City Club has 3 foreign players including Tatiana Mason, center back Talani Barnet and striker Meghan Root.
