Minh Nhi plays two roles in "Emotional Reunion"

On the evening of June 22, at the Army Theater (130 Ho Tung Mau, Mai Dich, Cau Giay, Hanoi ), Truong Hung Minh Art Stage performed a rehearsal of the play "Emotional Reunion" in preparation for the 5th National Professional Stage Arts Festival on "The Image of the People's Public Security Soldier" - 2025 in Hanoi.

The work was composed by author Hoai Huong, directed by Le Quoc Nam and People's Artist Tran Ngoc Giau took on the role of artistic advisor.

Inspired by a special criminal case, "Emotional Reunion" is a journey of investigation to find a lost part of the lives of two twin brothers - one who fell into crime, the other a successful engineer - who meet again after more than two decades apart, in a fierce moment between reason and emotion.

The story is not simply a confrontation between good and evil, but shows a humane perspective on the tragedy of the pain of loss, on the torment of secrets buried over the years. In it, the image of the police officer is portrayed not only through the act of solving crimes, but also through the depth of humanity - a person who carries the responsibility for justice, but still has a human heart.

The music composed by singer-songwriter Hoai Phuong creates a cinematic emotional space, supporting the characters' complex inner moments and psychological changes.

The cast includes familiar and talented faces such as: Meritorious Artist Minh Nhi, Artist Binh Tinh, Chanh Truc, Le Nam, Mai Ka, Di Duong, Thach Thao, Bao Bao, Thanh Dat, Thien Dai, Ngoc Huong... Together they created a play full of emotional weight and also full of challenges for them.

Meritorious Artist Minh Nhi takes on the roles of Trung and Hieu - the criminal elder brother and the successful younger brother. He said: "I am very nervous, anxious and stressed because I have to play two roles at the same time, two different personalities and how to change the costumes of the two characters in a short time, that is an opportunity for me to overcome this challenge."

Artist Binh Tinh, in the role of a female police officer, fully expressed the struggle between duty and personal love, and then in the moment she achieved career success and successfully solved the case, viewers could not hold back their tears.

"Emotional Reunion" is a respectful effort by Truong Hung Minh Art Stage in exploiting the depth of a political topic - the image of the People's Police soldier - not by idealization but by humanity, by losses and choices that are very ordinary but have a profound impact.

In the context of the political stage in need of works that touch the hearts of viewers, the script "Emotional Reunion" by author Hoai Huong is not only a typical representative of Ho Chi Minh City at the Festival.

It is also an affirmation of the enduring vitality of social-themed theater, when it knows how to connect the audience's hearts with human and contemporary stories.

The Arts Council of the HCM City Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and experts from the Public Security sector have reviewed and provided suggestions for Truong Hung Minh Art Stage to make more profound and systematic adjustments to the specialized language, the differences between the investigating police and the criminal technical team, and the investigators, so as to avoid misalignment and basic errors in professional skills in solving cases.

People's Artist and Director Tran Ngoc Giau, in his role as artistic advisor, will work with the art unit to adjust and balance the play, preparing well for the play to participate in the Festival in Hanoi on the evening of July 1.
