Hai Phong completed 262 model new rural works

By the end of October, the entire Hai Phong city had 262 model new rural projects to be implemented from 2024 completed and put into use, of which 170 projects were in the Eastern region and 92 projects in the Western region.

According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the progress of implementing model new rural projects in the East Hai Phong area is still slow. Up to now, there are 837 projects that have not been completed, 35 projects have not been implemented. The above projects are concentrated in the districts of An Lao, Vinh Bao, Kien Thuy, and the former city of Thuy Nguyen.

The reason is that the site clearance work has encountered many difficulties in the past time, up to this point, many communes have not completed site clearance and handed over to the construction unit. Some projects have long investment and licensing procedures, the price of raw materials has increased, causing difficulties for contractors, and the construction progress of the projects has slowed down.

In order to speed up the progress of implementing model new rural projects, in the last months of the year, the Department of Agriculture and Environment requires contractors to have plans to mobilize human resources and materials, have optimal construction measures, and meet the committed progress, in which traffic projects strive to be basically completed by the end of November 2025, and educational projects to be completed before December 31, 2025.
