On July 22, Quang Nam Club officially announced that it will not participate in V-League 2025/26 , instead merging with SHB Da Nang Club.

Accordingly, Quang Nam Club is working with leaders at all levels according to 2 options. Option 1: "Proposing the leaders of the City People's Committee, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the city to pay attention to directing the search and invitation of businesses with local factors, establishing a club of football sponsors with full capacity, enthusiasm and commitment to the development of top-level football and sustainable maintenance to continue to accompany Quang Nam Club and Quang Nam Youth Football Training Center.

Thereby maintaining in Tam Ky area and neighboring communes and wards in the South of Da Nang city a professional football playground - the pinnacle to contribute to improving the spiritual life of the people, at the same time promoting the development of the tourism - sports economy.

Option 2: "In the absence of a new sponsor, with the goal of effectively concentrating resources from the state budget to support youth football and focusing on developing and restructuring the new Da Nang City professional football club into a football team rich in local traditions of Quang - Da, with sufficient sustainable resources for development, worthy of being a typical representative of the new Da Nang City on the map of professional football in Vietnam, the Company proposes to transfer all staff, workers, athletes, young players of Quang Nam Football Development Joint Stock Company, Quang Nam Football Club and Quang Nam Youth Football Training Center to SHB Da Nang Sports Joint Stock Company for reception and management".

With this announcement, it can be understood that Quang Nam Club still leaves open the possibility of competing in V-League 2025/26 if it finds a sponsor. In case it does not, the team will be merged into SHB Da Nang Club. Currently, both VFF and VPF have not received any documents related to Quang Nam Club's withdrawal from V-League.
