Manchester Evening News reported that MU leaders had a meeting with captain Ruben Amorim to discuss Marcus Rashford - the striker currently on loan to Barca.

Rashford, who was 'ignored' by Amorim at MU, is playing better and better for Barca, after receiving the trust and encouragement of coach Hansi Flick.
The English star has made a total of 16 appearances in all competitions, directly contributing to 15 goals for Barca (6 goals, 9 assists). Thanks to his good performance with the La Liga team, Rashford was called up by Thomas Tuchel to train with the England team during the 2 FIFA Days in October and November.
Rashford's impressive form has sparked speculation that United could look to bring him back to Old Trafford after his loan deal with Barca ends at the end of the season.
However, according to the above source, that will not happen, because Ruben Amorim made it very clear to MU leaders at the meeting: he does not want Rashford in his squad, for any reason.

Rashford himself is said to be trying his best at Barca, so as not to have to return to MU. There is information that coach Hansi Flick told football director Deco to pay money (about 30 million euros) to the 'Red Devils' to buy the English striker outright.
Rashford was highly anticipated at Old Trafford and actually had an explosive season when Erik ten Hag took the 'hot seat' in MU's first season (2022/23) - scoring 30 goals in all competitions.
Unfortunately, after being 'rewarded' by MU with a new contract and a sky-high salary increase, his performance gradually declined in the opposite direction, becoming a burden at the Theatre of Dreams. Before joining Barca on loan, he also had to 'drift' to Aston Villa for the second half of last season.
