'The Girl We Chased Together' Returns with Korean Version

More than a decade ago, the Taiwanese youth drama “You Are My Girl” brought tears and smiles to audiences across Asia with its humorous and meaningful stories about the characters’ journey to adulthood. Now, that youth story will be given a new, sweeter and more profound look in the Korean version, promising to once again bring unforgettable emotions and continue to create a fever in the hearts of fans.

The Korean version of "The Girl We Chased Together" will premiere on March 21, 2025 in theaters nationwide.

“You Are the Apple of My Eye” is a remake of the famous Taiwanese movie “You Are the Apple of My Eye” released in 2011.

The story revolves around the lives of a group of high school friends in the 1990s. The main characters are Kha Canh Dang (Kha Chan Dong), a naughty but not good student, and Tham Gia Nghi (Tran Nghien Hy), a smart and popular classmate. The story focuses on their first love and the events that happen during their time in high school.

The film brings viewers back to beautiful memories of youth, the arduous journey of maturity of students at the threshold of life.

Thanks to this work, Tran Nghien Hy quickly rose to stardom. Although the film has been on air for many years, the name Tran Nghien Hy is still an unforgettable first love in the hearts of Chinese audiences.

Returning to the Korean version, “The Girl We Chased Together” revolves around two characters, Jin-woo and Sun-ah, along with their friends, as they spend their colorful and vibrant years of adolescence together.

Sun-ah is not only beautiful but also has good academic performance and a gentle personality. She is the secret crush of Jin-woo, who is famous for his mischievous antics, personality, and rebelliousness.

Two people with opposite personalities not only create a new combination but also bring viewers a special emotional journey. Their sweet, awkward moments seem to recreate memories of first love that everyone has experienced, while also depicting the worries and anguish of youth, unforgettable emotions, and profound experiences that everyone has to face at some point.
