
According to information from the Organizing Committee of the Bac Ha District Festival, the Sinh Tien stick dance performance will set a record for the largest scale ever, not only in the district but also in the region.
Specifically, the performance will have 600 students selected from schools in Thai Giang Pho and Ban Pho communes; High School No. 1 and Bac Ha Boarding Secondary and High School for Ethnic Minorities. The students will be guided in their practice by outstanding artists in the district.
Money stick dance, also known as money stick dance, is a dance of the Mong ethnic group, imbued with martial arts and diverse in movements; developed from the ancient dance with 18 weapons of the Mong people, often taking place during Khao Quan and Gau Tao festivals and important rituals in daily life.


Bac Ha district has a population of ethnic minorities accounting for more than 84%, of which the Mong ethnic group accounts for more than 32,000 people (over 44% of the district's population). In recent years, implementing the Party and State's policy on restoring and preserving the traditional culture of ethnic groups, the Sinh Tien stick dance has received local attention and been practiced in schools, clubs, art troupes and performed at traditional festivals.
