Pepper prices increase, coffee prices decrease

On May 28, domestic pepper prices increased by 1,000-1,500 VND/kg, bringing pepper prices to 147-148 thousand VND/kg.

In Dak Lak and Dak Nong, pepper prices increased by VND1,500/kg, reaching a peak of VND148,000/kg. In other localities such as Gia Lai, Ba Ria-Vung Tau and Dong Nai, pepper prices after adjustment are trading at VND147,000/kg.

Meanwhile, according to a survey, coffee prices decreased on May 28. Specifically, in the Central Highlands region, coffee prices decreased from 1,500-1,600 VND/kg to 121,700-122,300 VND/kg, of which, coffee prices in Dak Nong province were traded at the highest level of 122,300 VND/kg. In Dak Lak and Gia Lai provinces, the transaction price was 122,200 VND/kg; in Ba Ria-Vung Tau and Lam Dong, the purchase price was 121,700 VND/kg.
