Opportunity to choose a major that meets labor market requirements in the digital age

In order to provide useful information and opportunities to choose a major that meets the requirements of the labor market in the digital age, on April 20, the University of Economics (UEB) - Vietnam National University, Hanoi organized a workshop "Launching Bachelor's training majors in Business Administration and career orientation".

Digital transformation is a major trend of the times, knocking on the door of all areas of life, economy and society. The convergence of key technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), big data, IoT, cloud computing and automation is becoming the foundation for development.

In particular, the “AI tsunami” is spreading, penetrating every corner, reshaping many industries and services, forcing all organizations and professions to adapt. Education and training are no exception, facing both challenges and great opportunities to transform strongly in the digital age.

Pioneering in the digital transformation trend, the University of Economics has developed four new majors in Business Administration to train generations of excellent students with global mindset, outstanding innovation capacity and flexible adaptability in the digital age, actively contributing to the sustainable development of the country.

At the Workshop, parents, students, and pupils - those interested in their future studies and careers - will better understand the training content, career opportunities, and development potential of each major; listen to experts share about trends and career orientations in the digital age; interact and connect with experts, entrepreneurs, and successful alumni in the industry; explore career opportunities and find internship and job opportunities that match their career orientation; ask and answer directly with the Organizing Committee and lecturers of each major to answer all questions and receive detailed advice.

The workshop was attended by 200 guests, including experts in the fields of Business Administration & Enterprise Development, Marketing Management, Communication & Branding, Human Resource Management, and Hotel & Tourism Management.

The workshop is an opportunity for students, parents and interested parties to exchange and learn about career orientation as well as the learning environment at UEB - a place that trains global citizens with strategic thinking and outstanding competitiveness.

At this Conference, UEB will also sign memorandums of understanding with strategic partners, marking an important step in strengthening cooperation between the school and organizations, businesses and high schools.

The University of Economics is the first public university in Vietnam to be ranked 501-600 by Time Higher Education in the field of Business and Economics in the 2023 assessment. In the QS 2025 rankings, the University continues to affirm its important role by contributing 3 out of 12 fields with breakthrough progress of VNU, contributing to bringing VNU to the 325th position in the world.
