30 years of Japan - Vietnam Friendship Association in Kansai region: Continuing the journey of connection and cooperation

On the evening of November 5, in Hanoi, the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association in the Kansai region held a reception to celebrate its 30th anniversary. Deputy Foreign Minister Dang Hoang Giang attended and spoke at the event.

On behalf of the leaders of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , Deputy Minister Dang Hoang Giang sent warm congratulations and sincere thanks for the persistent and practical contributions that the Japan - Vietnam Friendship Association in the Kansai region has made to the Vietnam - Japan cooperative relationship and the friendship between the people of the two countries over the past 30 years.

In the overall picture of the good relationship between Vietnam and Japan, the Kansai region always holds a particularly important position. As the center of economy , industry, culture and science - technology, Kansai always takes the lead and plays an important role in promoting exchange and cooperation, especially in the economic field with Vietnam.

Deputy Minister Dang Hoang Giang honored and highly appreciated the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association in the Kansai region for its role as a bridge connecting businesses and people in the Kansai region with Vietnam over the past 30 years; at the same time, he expressed gratitude and thanks for the Association's effective support and companionship for the activities of the Vietnamese Consulate General in Osaka since its inception.

The Deputy Minister hoped that the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association in the Kansai region would continue to develop more strongly, becoming a strong connection and a solid foundation for Vietnam and Japan to continue to accompany each other, deepening and making more substantial the Vietnam-Japan friendship and cooperation, for the benefit of the people of the two countries and for peace and stability in the region as well as in the world.

Chairman of the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association in the Kansai region, Nishimura Teiichi, was moved to say that over the past three decades, the Vietnam-Japan relationship has achieved brilliant developments. The two countries have overcome many difficult times together and built the strong friendship they have today.

President Nishimura Teiichi affirmed that in the coming period, the Association wishes to further promote human resource exchange activities between the young generations of the two countries, while enhancing mutual understanding through cultural and artistic activities, contributing to fostering a sustainable relationship between Japan and Vietnam.

As a guest at the reception to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Association's founding, Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Ito Naoki said the principles set forth when establishing the Japan - Vietnam Friendship Association in the Kansai region were cultural and economic exchanges, business-to-business exchanges, and academic exchanges.

Ambassador Ito Naoki pledged to coordinate with the Japan - Vietnam Friendship Association in the Kansai region to continue to firmly consolidate the established principles to contribute to the already excellent relationship between the two countries.

Representing diplomats, organizations and businesses of the two countries, former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador of Vietnam to Japan Nguyen Phu Binh recalled that since its establishment, the Japan - Vietnam Friendship Association in the Kansai region has wholeheartedly supported and helped Vietnam in all fields.

The Association has supported the Vietnamese Consulate General in Osaka in many ways, including cultural exchange activities between the two countries, teaching Japanese to Vietnamese people in Osaka, etc.

Ambassador Nguyen Phu Binh expressed his most sincere thanks to the Japan - Vietnam Friendship Association in the Kansai region in particular and the Japanese Government in general for their wholehearted support for Vietnam and assistance to the Vietnamese community in Japan in all fields over the past decades.

The ceremony ended in a warm and friendly atmosphere, clearly demonstrating the spirit of cooperation and mutual trust. Delegates reviewed the meaningful 30-year journey and affirmed the increasingly strong spirit of friendship and cooperation between the two nations.
