Set in the Thang Long Imperial Citadel relic complex with its monumental cultural and architectural values associated with Vietnam's glorious dynasties, the Embassy of Colombia in Vietnam and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam co-organized an art performance program imbued with artistic values for peace on the evening of September 13.
The performance was honored to welcome the participation of leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Ambassadors, Heads of Diplomatic Missions, representatives of international organizations, as well as leaders and officers of Vietnamese agencies, departments and sectors.

The event featured clothing and accessories collections from two Colombian fashion brands, “Manifiesta Colombia” and “Tejidos Chakana”, two local businesses with more than 6 years of experience working with victims of armed conflict and former guerrillas, following the signing of the Peace Agreement between the Colombian Government and the FARC armed group in 2016.
The cultural event for peace organized by the Colombian Embassy in Vietnam has special meaning, because more than anyone else, the Vietnamese people understand the losses and pain that war brings.

Colombian Ambassador to Vietnam Miguel Angel Rodriguez Melo said: “The two businesses Manifiesta Colombia and Tejidos Chakana are two typical units that have created job opportunities, helping to promote the reintegration process for former soldiers, victims and especially women who have experienced the conflict in Colombia.

The event also clearly demonstrated the important role of women in peacebuilding. With the sharing of Ms. Indira Cerpa - a former Colombian guerrilla who was demobilized and received support after the signing of the Peace Agreement in Colombia, viewers better understood the peacebuilding process in the South American country.
