The Colombian Women's Team created an earthquake with a thrilling 2-1 victory over the German Women's Team in the second match of Group H of the 2023 Women's World Cup.
Manuela Vanegas became the hero with a header to score the winning goal in the 90+7 minute for the Colombia Women's Team.
This result helps the Colombian Women's Team have 6 absolute points and have a wide open door to enter the 1/8 round of the 2023 Women's World Cup.
Previously, in the opening match, Coach Angelo Marsiglia's team excellently defeated the Korean Women's Team 2-0.
Not only did Colombia create an earthquake, they also made history by becoming the first South American team to defeat the German Women's Team in nine World Cups.
On the other side of the front line, despite losing, Germany (3 points) still has a great chance to participate in the next round when in the last round they only have to meet the Korean Women's Team.
South Korea are currently without a point after two matches. The Asian representative lost 0-2 to Colombia and was shocked by the rookie team Morocco 0-1.
In the match that just ended, although being rated higher, the German team encountered many difficulties against a solid Colombia team.
Not only that, the world's second-ranked team also received a shock defeat in the 52nd minute after a shot by Linda Lizeth Caicedo Alegria.

To let their opponents take the lead, Martina Voss-Tecklenburg's students rose up strongly to create great pressure on Colombia's field.
But it wasn't until the 89th minute that the German team had a clear chance when they were awarded a penalty after Lena Oberdorf was fouled by the Colombian goalkeeper in the penalty area.
On the 11m mark, captain Alexandra Popp did not miss the opportunity to score the equalizer 1-1 for the European representative.
The equalizer boosted Germany's morale and that was evident as they continued to push forward with the determination to win and advance quickly.
However, instead of scoring a goal, the German team received a "cold shower" with Manuela Vanegas' header that sealed a 2-1 victory for Colombia in the 90+7 minute.
According to the schedule, the final round of Group H will take place at 5:00 p.m. on August 3 (Vietnam time). Germany will face South Korea while Colombia will face Morocco.
