Gasoline price drops to nearly 19,500 VND/liter

Gasoline prices decreased, oil prices increased in the adjustment session on May 22.

Specifically, the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline was adjusted down by 60 VND/liter, down to 19,120 VND/liter; the price of RON 95-III gasoline (common type on the market) decreased by 60 VND/liter, down to 19,530 VND/liter.

In contrast, oil products increased by 90-350 VND/liter during this adjustment period. Accordingly, diesel oil price increased by 180 VND/liter, to 17,400 VND/liter; kerosene price increased by 90 VND/liter, to 17,310 VND/liter; fuel oil increased by 350 VND/kg, to 16,510 VND/kg.

In this management period, the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade continues to not use the Price Stabilization Fund for petroleum products.

Thus, the domestic price of RON 95 gasoline has reversed and decreased after only one increase. Currently, the price of this fuel is still at its lowest level in the past 4 years, equivalent to May 2021. Since the beginning of the year, RON 95 gasoline has increased 10 times and decreased 11 times. Diesel oil has increased 10 times, decreased 10 times and remained unchanged once.
