In April 2025, many new flights from the international tourist market will bring thousands of tourists to Da Nang, opening a new milestone in connecting tourism from Central Asia to Central Vietnam.
Specifically, the charter flight route from Astana and Almaty (Kazakhstan) - Da Nang is operated by Crystal Bay, Rustar tour and Vietjet Air from March 30 to October 25 with a frequency of 4 flights/week, Anex tour and Azur Air from April 10 to October 17 with a frequency of 4 flights/week, Selfie Travel and Scat Airlines from April 10 with a frequency of 2 flights/week. The charter flight route from Tashkent (Uzbekistan) is operated by Prestige DMC Vietnam Trading and Tourism Company Limited in coordination with Centrium-Air Airways and Prestige Travel Uzbekistan from April 27 to October 31.
In the first phase, the route will operate with a frequency of 1 flight/week, expected to increase to 2 flights/week from June, meeting the increasing travel demand of tourists. It is expected that from June 3, Kazakhstan's Air Astana will start operating flights from Almaty (Kazakhstan) to Da Nang with a frequency of 4 flights/week. The total number of flights from the CIS region (Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan) to Da Nang will increase to 15 flights/week.
This confirms the attraction of Da Nang destination to the international tourist market in recent times. Ms. Arona (Uzbek tourist) shared: “I have been to Phu Quoc and this is my first time to Da Nang. I love the people and natural landscape of Vietnam. Vietnam is a beautiful country, the Vietnamese people are friendly and hospitable. Before coming to Da Nang, I also learned about some famous tourist destinations such as Ba Na, especially the beautiful beach. This is what attracted us”.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong, Chairwoman of Prestige DMC Vietnam Company, the operator of charter flights to Tashkent (Uzbekistan), said that this international tourist market favors beach resorts, entertainment and is a group of customers with high spending and long stays (10 days or more). "We see that the Da Nang market has great potential for this type of customer, especially Uzbek tourists who love beach resorts and visiting destinations around the city such as Cu Lao Cham, Hoi An... Da Nang promises to be a "hot" destination in 2025 and 2026," Ms. Phuong said.
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the tourist market to Da Nang from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan is growing strongly, with an estimated 10,000 visitors per month, concentrated from April to October 2025. Ms. Truong Thi Hong Hanh, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said that opening new routes from the three countries mentioned above, bringing visitors to Da Nang, once again affirms the attractiveness of Da Nang to potential markets. This is a testament to the city's continuous efforts in expanding its international connection network; implementing the strategy of shaping key source markets for tourism in Da Nang city and the Central region.
To attract visitors from this market, in April 2025, Da Nang participated in the KITF International Tourism Fair in Kazakhstan to promote destinations, introduce tourism products and connect with partners from the market. In addition, the Da Nang delegation also surveyed and studied the market to develop products suitable to tourists' tastes, improve service quality to bring the best experience to tourists. The tourism industry coordinated to organize seminars on promoting markets of tourists from the Middle East and other countries, such as the "Anex 2025 Tourism Promotion Seminar" from May 12 to 14...
“The Department proactively issued a plan to develop and serve the international tourist market via flights from other countries. In particular, it focuses on communication, promotion and market research; strengthens the promotion of Da Nang tourism to the market. At the same time, it shares information, guides the market and checks to ensure security and safety for customers, prepares suitable tourism products and improves the quality of human resources serving customers,” said Ms. Hanh.
