Da Nang police deploy plans to help people cope with storm No. 12

DNO - On the afternoon of October 22, Lieutenant Colonel Tran Minh Nguyen, Deputy Director of Da Nang City Police, chaired an online meeting with police officers from communes and wards across the city to disseminate and direct the implementation of tasks before, during and after storm No. 12.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Tran Minh Nguyen, storm No. 12 is forecast to have very heavy rainfall, causing the risk of landslides, flooding, and flash floods in many areas.

Therefore, the top priority is that police units and localities must not be subjective or negligent in storm prevention and control work; at the same time, deploy response plans appropriate to the characteristics of each locality, especially areas that have experienced flooding and landslides in previous years.

Local police have stepped up propaganda and timely information to the people; checked high-risk areas to proactively evacuate people, ensuring absolute safety for people and property.

Units must closely monitor developments of storms and rains, water levels of rivers, streams, lakes and dams, regularly report and update the situation to have timely handling measures.

The entire city police force inspected and cleared trash and obstacles in the drainage system, especially in urban areas, to ensure quick drainage and limit deep flooding.

At the same time, coordinate with the Border Guard to guide ships to anchor safely in the areas of Tho Quang Fishing Port and Fishing Wharf, Man Quang, Tam Quang and Hong Trieu bays, and prevent fires and incidents at sea.

Units are ordered to inspect, review, and ensure rescue vehicles, equipment, and supplies operate at the highest level, proactively mobilizing on-site resources such as excavators, cranes, diggers, etc. to promptly handle natural disasters and incidents.

The entire force strictly implemented the combat duty regime, responded to storm No. 12, and ensured absolute safety for people, property, and unit headquarters.
