Hanoi Police FC meets Binh Dinh again in the opening round of V-League 2023 2024

This is the first season to apply the AFC competition system for club level (starting in the fall of the previous year and ending in the summer of the following year) - a competition time frame synchronized with Asian and European countries.

The 2023/2024 National Cup will feature 26 teams, including 14 teams from the V-League and 12 teams from the First Division. The format will be a knockout tournament with 1 loss, with a total of 25 matches. The tournament is scheduled to open on November 24, 2023. The team that wins the 2023/2024 National Cup will receive a prize worth 2 billion VND.

According to the draw results of the 2023/2024 National Cup, in the qualifying round, fans will witness the big match between Hanoi Police Club and HAGL at Hang Day Stadium. The winning team will meet Viettel FC in the next match.

In the opening round of the National Cup, there are also the following matches: Khanh Hoa - Ha Tinh, SLNA - Dong Thap, Ho Chi Minh City - Binh Duong , Quang Nam - Hoa Binh... The reigning champion Thanh Hoa Club is exempt from round 1 and will meet the winner of the Phu Dong - Binh Thuan match.

V-League with 14 clubs competing for the championship. This year, the prize money of the tournament increased compared to the 2023 season with a total prize value of 9.5 billion VND. Accordingly, the three leading teams of V-League 2023/2024 will receive the following prizes: The champion team will receive 5 billion VND, the second place team will receive 3 billion VND and the third place team will receive 1.5 billion VND.

According to the results of the draw for round 1 of V-League 2023/2024, the defending champion Hanoi Police will host Binh Dinh at Hang Day Stadium. In this round, there are also notable matches such as Nam Dinh - Quang Nam, Binh Duong - Hanoi, SLNA - Viettel, Hai Phong - HAGL...

This year, V-League and First Division return to the round-robin format. V-League has 1.5 relegation spots, which means First Division has 1.5 promotion spots next season.

First Division with 12 clubs, the champion receives 2 billion VND in prize money. The second and third placed teams are awarded 1 billion VND and 500 million VND respectively.
