Over the past few days, Dak Lak province, especially the old Phu Yen province, has been hit by heavy rains. Dozens of communes have been isolated, many traffic routes have been cut off by flash floods and landslides, directly threatening people's lives. The situation is considered a "high-level emergency" and requires support.
Faced with that development, Lieutenant General Mai Hoang, Director of Ho Chi Minh City Police, urgently directed professional units of Ho Chi Minh City Police, including the Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police Department (PC07), to mobilize forces and means of fire fighting, rescue and relief to support Dak Lak Provincial Police in search and rescue work and overcoming the consequences of floods.
On the afternoon of November 22, the unit mobilized 200 officers and soldiers, 30 firefighting vehicles, brought along 5 motorboats, 9 road vehicles including rescue vehicles, command vehicles, troop transport vehicles and boat transport vehicles, drones, generators, 100 life jackets, 30 lifebuoys and many specialized equipment for sanitation work and rescue services.
The PC07 Command deployed special working groups, divided into two groups led and coordinated by two deputy heads. "Each officer and soldier who sets out carries the collective's trust and the city's expectations. They are young people who dare to take risks, are not afraid of difficulties and hardships, can withstand heavy work pressure and are ready to sacrifice for the peace of the people," the leader of PC07 emphasized.
Early this morning, November 23, the relief team arrived at the old Phu Yen area, the most heavily flooded area in Dak Lak province. Ho Chi Minh City Police and other coordinating forces immediately reached all 18 communes and wards, cleaned, sanitized, and disinfected 33 commune-level People's Committee offices and schools.
In addition, the force also supported 1 village, 3 houses, 1 gas station and affected areas.
