Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV) has just released official information stating that it has completed the selection of contractors for Package No. 5.10 - "Construction and installation of equipment for the Passenger Terminal" of Component Project 3 - Essential works in the airport under the Long Thanh International Airport Construction Investment Project Phase 1.

ACV said that after reviewing and opening the financial capacity assessment file, the Bidding Evaluation Team selected the contractor for package 5.10, the VIETUR consortium of 10 enterprises.

Specifically, the leading consortium is IC ISTAS Construction Industry and Trade Group. This enterprise was established in 1969, under the IC Holding Group in Türkiye.

IC ISTAS is introduced as one of the leading developers, investors and contractors in the field of highways, railways, airports and seaports with a solid track record of complex infrastructure projects, superstructures such as airports, ports, highways, tunnels, bridges, railways, power plants and medical complexes, in the Middle East, Central Asia, Europe and Russia.

Besides IC ISTAS, there are also domestic enterprises such as Ricons Construction Investment Joint Stock Company; Newtecons Construction Investment Joint Stock Company; SOL E&C Construction Investment Joint Stock Company; ATAD Structure Joint Stock Company; Construction Corporation No. 1 - JSC; HAWEE Electromechanical Joint Stock Company; Vietnam Construction and Import-Export Joint Stock Corporation; Phuc Hung Holdings Construction Joint Stock Company; Hanoi Construction Corporation.

In particular, the companies Ricons, Newtecons, SOL E&C are businesses related to Mr. Nguyen Ba Duong - "Chief Architect" of Coteccons Group.

According to ACV's announcement, the Vietur contractor consortium won the 5.10 package with a winning bid price of nearly VND27,814 billion and more than USD338 million; This is a series of contracts at a combined price.

The contract implementation period is 1,170 days, equivalent to 39 months including Tet holidays according to Vietnamese law from the date of signing the contract. The contract signing ceremony is expected to take place from August 25 to August 30.

Also according to ACV's announcement, the contractors who did not win the 5.10 package include the CHEC-BCEG-Vietnam Contractors consortium: including contractors China Harbour Engineering Company Limited and CHEC (overseas market representative of China Communications Construction Corporation).

Along with that is the Hoa Lu consortium consisting of leading construction companies in Vietnam such as: Central, An Phong, Hoa Binh , Thanh An, Unicons, Delta, Coteccons. In which, Coteccons is the leading unit of the consortium.

Package 5.10 is the package with the largest scale, the most complex technical nature and the longest construction time among the packages of Component Project 3 - Essential works in the airport of the Long Thanh International Airport Construction Investment Project Phase 1.

It is expected that package 5.10 will start construction immediately after the contract is signed .
