Announcing the 9th National STEM Festival with a series of activities

On May 30, the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) held the launching ceremony of the "9th National STEM Festival - Vietnam STEM Festival 2023".

This year's 9th National STEM Festival is a series of STEM activities held nationwide, then ending with a large festival gathering representatives from localities and units across the three regions. One of the important meanings of the National STEM Festival when it was born is the element of community communication, social connection, and connection of the STEMeducation ecosystem in Vietnam.

STEM Festival 2023 includes main activities: National STEM competitions such as rocket shooting competition, robot competition; STEM seminars, forums; exhibitions and display spaces promoting STEM; local STEM experience and challenge activities...

The National STEM Festival 2023 also aims to raise public awareness of the role of science , technology and innovation, promote the application of science and technology in life; improve research capacity, enhance education of basic skills, knowledge, creative thinking, and the ability to adapt to the requirements of the 4th Industrial Revolution. This is also an opportunity for science and technology managers, education and training, researchers, schools, teachers and students to access advanced teaching and learning methods, towards comprehensive development of scientific knowledge and skills, contributing to creating qualified human resources to access the 4.0 industrial revolution.

In his speech, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Le Xuan Dinh emphasized: “In the context of digital transformation being an inevitable trend and a direct solution to improve capacity and competitive advantage, the interdisciplinary and inter-disciplinary approach through STEM education can be considered a suitable approach to improve knowledge and skills on digital transformation for young people and needs to be further promoted in the coming time”.

The 2023 National STEM Festival will have a short discussion with the theme "Vietnam STEM, breaking through to new heights" for guests and experts to share more in-depth opinions on the current situation, prospects and potential directions for Vietnam STEM, affirming Vietnam's intelligence and creativity in the international arena.
