Lao Cai mobilizes more than 70% of socialized resources to support housing for people in difficulty.

During the 2021 - 2025 period, Lao Cai province has supported the construction of 26,831 houses for policy beneficiaries and people with housing difficulties. This result demonstrates the high sense of responsibility and synchronous participation of the entire political system, along with the cooperation and consensus of the people.

According to statistics, the entire province has supported the construction and repair of 1,037 houses for people with meritorious service, 19,855 houses for poor and near-poor households, and 5,939 houses for households affected by natural disasters, storms, and floods…

The total resources mobilized for the program reached over 1,458 billion VND. Of this, the state budget accounted for approximately 29.2%, including over 221 billion VND from the central budget and over 204 billion VND from local budgets.

Militia forces and local people joined hands to lay the foundation and build houses for disadvantaged families in Lao Cai .

The remainder came from social mobilization, with over 283 billion VND in cash and nearly 749 billion VND converted from contributions from the community, organizations, businesses, clans, and individuals in the form of money, materials, and labor.

The housing support movement has spread widely throughout the province, becoming a beautiful symbol of the spirit of "mutual support and solidarity." Many innovative models and approaches have emerged at the grassroots level, contributing to strengthening national unity, improving social welfare, and achieving sustainable poverty reduction.

The successful mobilization of over 70% of social resources to build houses for policy beneficiaries and people in difficult circumstances not only affirms the inherent strength and spirit of "mutual support" of the people of Lao Cai, but also creates a solid foundation for the province to continue effectively implementing poverty reduction and sustainable development goals in the future.
