On the afternoon of August 8, Da Lat University held a ceremony to announce the decision to recognize the principal and 3 vice principals of Da Lat University. Attending were Associate Professor, Dr. Hoang Minh Son, Deputy Minister of Education and Training; leaders of Lam Dong province; leaders of a number of departments and branches, and leaders of universities and colleges in the area.

Accordingly, Deputy Minister Hoang Minh Son handed over the decision to re-appoint Dr. Le Minh Chien (60 years old) as Principal of Da Lat University, for a term of 5 years, until he reaches the age of retirement from management according to regulations.
On this occasion, Dr. Mai Minh Nhat, Chairman of the University Council of Dalat University, presented the decision to re-appoint Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Tat Thang to hold the position of Vice Rector of Dalat University. In addition, the university appointed Dr. Tran Huu Duy, Head of Training Management Department; Dr. Nguyen Van Ngoc, Head of Science, Technology and International Cooperation Department of Dalat University to hold the position of Vice Rector of Dalat University, with a term of appointment of 5 years.

Dr. Le Minh Chien said that Dalat University is a university with a history of nearly 70 years of establishment and 50 years of innovation and development. Currently, the university provides multi-disciplinary training with 40 undergraduate majors, 11 master's majors, 7 doctoral majors, and a training scale of approximately 14,000 students.
International cooperation activities are expanded and effective; the quality and reputation of scientific journals are increasingly improved, have been indexed in the ASEAN Citation Index (ACI), are official members of the Publishing Ethics Committee, are indexed in the Open Journal Directory and are recognized as leading national journals in many academic fields.
Dr. Le Minh Chien, Principal of Dalat University, said that the school has 14 training programs that have been accredited according to domestic and international standards.

The quality of the staff is constantly increasing, with more than 42% of lecturers having doctoral degrees.
