Announcing Ea Tu commune, Buon Ma Thuot city reaching advanced new rural standards

On the morning of November 21, the People's Committee of Buon Ma Thuot City held a ceremony to announce that Ea Tu commune has met the advanced new rural standards in 2023.

Ea Tu commune achieved new rural standards in 2016. With the motto "New rural areas have only a starting point, not an ending point", the commune has continued to implement many solutions to maintain and improve the quality and effectiveness of the criteria.

After more than 7 years of implementing advanced new rural construction, in 2023, Ea Tu commune completed 19/19 criteria to meet advanced new rural standards according to the provisions of Decision No. 1831/QD-UBND, dated August 15, 2022 of the Provincial People's Committee.

From the efforts of the entire political system and local people, on November 4, 2024, the People's Committee of Dak Lak province issued Decision No. 2779/QD-UBND, recognizing Ea Tu commune, Buon Ma Thuot city as meeting advanced new rural standards in 2023. The results of building advanced new rural areas of the commune are clearly shown in aspects such as: the material and spiritual life of rural people is constantly improving; the multidimensional poverty rate is only 1.9%; the average income per capita reaches nearly 58.9 million VND/person/year.

Infrastructure is increasingly invested synchronously and completed, meeting the requirements of production development and people's life; 100% of inter-commune and village roads have been asphalted; 95.95% of alleys and hamlets have been concreted; 90.67% of main intra-field roads have been hardened; 91.2% of agricultural land area is irrigated and actively irrigated; cultural facilities ensure cultural and sports activities of the people.

The ecological environment has been improved; clean water systems, ecological and high-quality agricultural production associated with experiential tourism have been focused on investment and implementation; many models of production linkages have been formed according to value chains associated with the commune's key products; democracy at the grassroots level has been actively promoted; the grassroots political system has continued to be consolidated, constantly improving the quality of operations; social order and security have been maintained. The movement of all people joining hands to build new rural areas has been actively responded to by the people and has become a widespread emulation movement. In particular, people have been deeply aware of their role as the subject in building new rural areas, advanced new rural areas, and moving towards building model new rural areas.

In order to continue effectively implementing the New Rural Construction Program, striving to build a model new rural commune, comrade Vo Ngoc Tuyen requested the Party Committee, government, Fatherland Front and mass organizations of Ea Tu commune to further strengthen information and propaganda work to raise awareness and responsibility of the entire political system and society on new rural construction; focus on reviewing, directing implementation, fully meeting and improving the standard level according to the requirements of the National Criteria for Advanced New Rural Communes in the period of 2021-2025 to create a premise to strive for a model new rural commune; clearly define the roles, responsibilities and coordination of agencies, organizations and people in new rural construction; further improve the quality of planning, management and organization of implementation of plans and schemes on agricultural and rural development...
