Tien Giang Industrial Parks Trade Union: Many practical activities to care for workers

In the first 6 months of the year, the living and working conditions of workers and laborers were basically stable. The provincial Trade Union has proactively implemented many practical care programs, notably activities on the occasion of Workers' Month and the Lunar New Year 2025.

The entire system of the Trade Union has mobilized, supported and cared for more than 69,700 union members and employees with a total budget of over 32.2 billion VND. In addition, this year's online "Trade Union Tet Market" program recorded 648 union members using electronic shopping vouchers to shop for Tet goods - reflecting the effectiveness of the innovation in the form of care of the Trade Union organization.

In particular, grassroots trade unions have coordinated with enterprises to organize labor conferences and regular dialogues, gradually building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations. The rate of enterprises with collective labor agreements reached 94.25%, with 100% of documents having more favorable content than legal regulations.

At the same time, the Union has increased legal communication activities, disseminated the Party's guidelines and new policies to tens of thousands of workers. Thereby, helping workers raise awareness, actively participate in emulation movements, and contribute to the sustainable development of the enterprise.

With the theme "Vietnamese workers are pioneers in entering a new era", the 2025 Workers' Month left a strong impression when the Provincial Trade Union of Industrial Workers coordinated with units to organize a series of meaningful activities such as the forum "Workers for enterprises - Enterprises for workers", the launching ceremony of the Labor Safety and Hygiene Month, the Provincial Labor Safety and Hygiene - Fire Prevention and Fighting Competition, giving gifts to hundreds of workers in difficult circumstances...

Notably, 67/87 Trade Unions organized Workers' Month at the grassroots level, thereby spreading the spirit of solidarity and unity in each unit. Cultural, sports , sightseeing, and recreation activities... were also implemented in accordance with actual conditions, attracting a large number of union members and workers to participate.

In addition, during the Lunar New Year, nearly 2,000 workers participated in the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Dang" at 3 large industrial parks, with tens of thousands of gifts and hundreds of train and bus tickets given away. Here, workers also participated in a lucky draw program with many valuable gifts such as motorbikes, televisions, induction cookers, etc.

An important content of the conference is to deploy the plan to reorganize the provincial industrial trade union organization, ending the model of the direct superior trade union at the grassroots level. According to the plan, from June 15, 2025, all 87 affiliated grassroots trade unions and more than 68,000 union members will be transferred to the management of the provincial Labor Federation.

At the conference, comrade Dang Van Chien, Chairman of the Provincial Trade Union of Industrial Workers, announced the decision and performed the farewell ceremony for the Executive Committee, Inspection Committee of the 4th Trade Union of Industrial Workers, and full-time Trade Union officials.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee also awarded the units that won high prizes in the Photo Contest "Beauty of Trade Union Activities" in the first 6 months of the year, recognizing the creativity and dynamism in propaganda and building the image of the Trade Union at the grassroots level.

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Hoang Khac Tinh, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation, highly appreciated the achievements of the provincial Industrial Trade Union in the past time; at the same time, affirmed that the Provincial Labor Federation will continue to accompany and support the grassroots Trade Unions to promote their representative role and practically care for workers.
