Previously, at the end of October 2024, the People's Committee of Mang Yang district organized a scientific workshop on the historical relic "House of painter Xu Man" in Plei Bong (Ayun commune). Opinions at the workshop all affirmed: Xu Man is a typical painter of Gia Lai province in particular, of Vietnam in general. As the only painter in the Central Highlands to be awarded the State Prize so far, he has brought the traditional culture of the Central Highlands into his works, making an important contribution to the preservation and promotion of those traditional values. He is also a teacher and inspiration for many future generations of painters.
Delegates attending the conference suggested that attention should be paid to investing in and restoring his residence; continuing to expand the collection of Xu Man's works and displaying a portion of them here so that visitors can better understand the life and career of the "leading bird of Central Highlands fine arts".
