Thanh Hoa workers pioneer into new era

With the motto of focusing on the grassroots, caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers, civil servants and laborers, in recent years, the Provincial Federation of Labor (FFL) has proactively and actively coordinated with agencies, units, enterprises and directed trade unions at all levels to well organize "Workers' Month" activities.

The implementation of "Workers' Month" by trade unions at all levels has affirmed the role of accompanying the work and life of union members and workers.

Following the direction of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the leadership of the Provincial Party Committee, Thanh Hoa trade unions at all levels have proactively grasped the situation of life and employment; promptly coordinated with competent agencies to resolve policies and regimes, protect the legitimate rights and interests of workers, focused on implementing solutions to prevent and resolve labor disputes, collective work stoppages, and focused on propagating to workers to accompany and share difficulties with businesses. Focused on caring for and ensuring the legitimate rights and interests of workers.

In 2024 and the first 4 months of 2025, trade unions at all levels coordinated with agencies, units, and enterprises to visit and present gifts to 340,074 union members and employees with a total amount of 318.1 billion VND. On the occasion of "Tet Sum Vay - Spring of Thanks to the Party" in 2025, leaders of the Central Committee, provincial leaders, trade unions at all levels, agencies, units, and enterprises visited and presented over 300,000 gifts to employees in difficult circumstances. In addition, the Provincial Federation of Labor supported the construction and repair of 127 "Union Shelters" with a total amount of more than 5.2 billion VND...

"Workers' Month" in 2025 with the theme "Vietnamese Workers Pioneering into a New Era" is an occasion to honor the value of labor, arouse the creativity and responsibility of workers in the cause of building a strong and prosperous Vietnam, where people have a prosperous and happy life. Accordingly, the Provincial Federation of Labor organized a ceremony to launch "Workers' Month" and respond to "Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Hygiene" in 2025 at the Provincial Labor Culture House. At the launching ceremony, the Provincial Federation of Labor presented funds to support the construction of 34 "Trade Union Shelters" with an amount of over 1.3 billion VND; presented gifts to 250 workers in difficult circumstances, with serious illnesses, and with occupational accidents with an amount of 325 million VND.

During the "Workers' Month" in 2025, the Provincial Federation of Labor has been implementing many practical and in-depth activities, aiming to strengthen trust and enhance the position of trade unions and workers, such as: Organizing the program "Creative workers, confidently entering the new era", "Thank workers"; "Dialogue in May" and the forum "Party with workers - Workers with the Party"; organizing the peak month for developing union members, establishing grassroots unions, striving to recruit 5,000 - 6,000 new union members, establishing at least 30 grassroots unions in non-state enterprises. Strengthening legal propaganda activities, raising awareness of occupational safety and hygiene in many vivid forms such as: law-learning contests, mobile communication at enterprises, the model "Union accompanies occupational safety and hygiene". In particular, the focus is on promoting the prevention of occupational accidents in the construction, mechanical and agricultural sectors - areas with high potential risks... Organizing activities for job counseling, legal counseling, medical consultation and examination for workers, and voluntary blood donation. Promoting activities to care for, visit and give gifts to workers in difficult circumstances, those with serious illnesses, and occupational accidents...

Thanh Hoa province currently has 375,910 employees, including 370,460 union members. Notably, nearly 70% of workers and laborers are between the ages of 25 and 45, a young force, capable of absorbing new technology and ready to adapt to change. To build a team of pioneering workers in the new era, in addition to strengthening legal propaganda activities, raising awareness for union members and employees, unions at all levels coordinate with professionals to create conditions for employees to study and improve their professional qualifications and skills to meet the requirements of tasks in the new period. Timely grasp the thoughts and aspirations of employees; encourage employees to enthusiastically compete in labor production, increase productivity, product quality and services; promote social resources to care for and support union members, especially those in particularly difficult circumstances. Promote patriotic emulation movements among workers, focusing on the emulation of "Good workers, creative workers", promoting initiatives and technical improvements to arouse the potential, intelligence and creativity of workers. Create a favorable environment for union members and workers to freely research and create, with more and more initiatives, creative ideas, applications of science and technology , technical improvements and useful solutions to help improve the efficiency of work, labor, study and production, contributing to building a team of workers worthy of being the pioneer force in the era of national development.
