
The celebration will be held on June 6, 2025 in Hanoi with the participation of more than 300 delegates.
The program is organized both in person and online, aiming to spread the message, values and achievements of the Association to a large number of people across the country.
Regarding the celebration, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association of the Elderly Phan Van Hung said: The celebration is an opportunity to pay tribute to generations of leaders of the Association through the periods, to commend collectives and individuals with positive contributions; at the same time, to strengthen the belief and motivation for the Association at all levels to continue to innovate and improve the quality of activities in the new period.
Since 1995, after 30 years of establishment and development, the Vietnam Association of the Elderly has become a representative organization caring for and protecting the rights and legitimate interests of the elderly. This is not only an important historical milestone, but also a testament to the care and honor of the elderly - a generation that has made great contributions to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
According to Mr. Phan Van Hung, in the context of the country facing strong development opportunities but also facing many challenges, especially the trend of rapid population aging, the Vietnam Association of the Elderly continues to promote its role, tradition, solidarity and intelligence, contributing to the glorious revolutionary cause led by the Party. Entering the era of national development, the elderly need to promote the Dien Hong spirit to the fullest, affirming their important role in the new development stage.

The celebration is expected to be attended by leaders and former leaders of the Party and State; representatives of central departments, branches and organizations; generations of leaders and members of the Vietnam Elderly Association. Notably, within the framework of the celebration, the Central Association of the Elderly will launch the humanitarian program “Bright eyes for the elderly”.
It is known that the Association currently has more than 7 million elderly people nationwide who are entrepreneurs, business owners, owners of production and business establishments, participating in economic development, making effective and practical contributions to the country's development, contributing to creating jobs for about 9 million people, including the elderly and the community.
Promoting the achievements gained over the past 30 years, the Vietnam Association of the Elderly has always strived to strongly innovate the content and methods of operation, becoming a common home of great solidarity for 17 million elderly people across the country to live happily, healthily and joyfully; encouraging children and grandchildren to compete in patriotism, bringing the country into the era of national development.
