The conference reviewed some outstanding results achieved in the field of population in 2024 such as: the rate of young people receiving pre-marriage counseling reached nearly 30%, more than 66% of children were screened at birth, over 64% of pregnant women were screened before birth, nearly 69% of the elderly received periodic health check-ups at least once a year...

However, population work in the area still faces many challenges: the birth rate is unstable and remains high; the situation of women giving birth before the age of 18 in ethnic minority areas is still common...
Focusing on solving difficulties, in 2025, Lao Cai population sector will continue to focus on many solutions to improve population quality.
