On October 31, in Nha Trang city, the Central Propaganda Department chaired and coordinated with Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development , and Navy Command to organize the "Propaganda Conference on Vietnam's Sea and Islands in 2024" for 28 coastal provinces and cities. Propaganda work on seas and islands is a long-term, regular and continuous task of the entire political system. Therefore, propaganda and raising people's awareness of the role and position of seas and islands is extremely necessary. In recent times, propaganda work on seas and islands has achieved great results, contributing significantly to raising people's awareness and love for seas and islands, motivating forces that are implementing management and protecting the sovereignty of seas and islands of the Fatherland. The Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department emphasized that the world and regional situation continues to develop rapidly and complicatedly; the trend of peace, cooperation and development faces many challenges. Hostile forces continue to thoroughly exploit issues of national border sovereignty, sea, islands, ethnicity, and religion to propagate distortions and fabrications to sabotage the state and divide the traditional friendly relations between Vietnam and neighboring countries. In that context, to continue to promote the achieved results, coordinate propaganda work on sea and islands to achieve higher quality and efficiency, promote the proactiveness, creativity, and flexibility of the forces doing propaganda work on sea and islands, the Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department requested that all levels, sectors, and localities continue to thoroughly grasp the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, Resolution No. 36-NQ/TW, dated October 22, 2018 of the 12th Party Central Committee on "Strategy for sustainable development of Vietnam's marine economy to 2030, vision to 2045"; Resolution No. 44-NQ/TW, dated November 24, 2023 of the 13th Party Central Committee on "Strategy for protecting the Fatherland in the new situation"; Resolution of the National Assembly on "National marine spatial planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050"; relevant directives and regulations of the Party and the State...; raising awareness and creating consensus among all classes of people on the task of protecting sea and island sovereignty. This is an opportunity for 28 coastal provinces and cities to update and receive important information and orientations on the situation in the East Sea and the work of protecting Vietnam's sea and island sovereignty; the viewpoints, policies and guidelines of the Party, policies and laws of the State on issues related to Vietnam's sea and islands.
