Boosting exports to the US market

According to Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hoang - Chairman of the Board of Members of Song Hieu Forestry and Agriculture Company Limited, in the past two years, the unit has encountered many difficulties due to a narrowing consumer market, large inventories, and interrupted production activities. However, with efforts to adapt and innovate, the unit has overcome difficulties, gradually restoring and expanding export markets.

One of the important steps is to invest tens of billions of VND in technological innovation, especially the modern steam drying system to replace the traditional heat drying kiln. Thanks to that, the quality of wood is improved, meeting international standards, qualified for export to demanding markets such as the US. New technology not only optimizes the production process but also minimizes technical errors, saves costs and increases labor productivity. Thanks to that, the unit's wood products increasingly meet the strict standards of the international market, especially the US market.

Mr. Hoang added that to achieve success in the US market, the company not only focuses on technology but also pays special attention to the quality of input materials. Partners from the US directly visited the factory to comprehensively evaluate the production line as well as the source of raw materials. According to the requirements of this market, laminated wood products not only need to ensure good wood quality but also have high uniformity, the laminated wood bars must be tight, not warped and meet aesthetic standards.

Thanks to thorough investment, from the beginning of 2025 until now, Song Hieu Agricultural and Forestry Processing Enterprise has produced and consumed over 1,200 m³ of laminated wood and over 50,000 tons of wood chips, bringing in revenue of over 50 billion VND. Products under the brand name "Song Hieu Agricultural and Forestry" are not only popular in the US market but also create trust in other foreign markets thanks to stable quality and competitive prices.

Enhancing the value of Vietnamese wood in the international market

One of the strategic advantages that helps the company maintain its position in the wood processing industry is its proactiveness in raw material sources. Currently, the unit is managing and exploiting more than 1,700 hectares of large timber plantations, exploiting about 200 hectares each year to meet standards.

The development of large timber forests not only allows the production of high-value wood products such as sawn timber and laminated timber, but also makes use of branches and tops for chipping, improving economic efficiency. Compared to conventional raw material forests, large timber forests have twice the productivity and diversify output products.

Sharing about production efficiency, Mr. Ho Duc Dan - Director of Song Hieu Agricultural and Forestry Products Processing Enterprise said: “From the beginning of 2025 until now, products produced have been consumed as soon as they are produced. Continuous export has helped the factory maintain stable operations, creating jobs for more than 60 local workers with stable income, contributing positively to the socio-economic development of the locality”.

In the upcoming development orientation, Song Hieu Forestry and Agriculture Company aims to continue expanding the large timber forest material area in a sustainable manner, associated with FSC (Sustainable Forest Certification) standards. At the same time, the company also focuses on improving the quality of human resources, updating advanced technologies in wood processing and strictly complying with international technical regulations. This is a strategic step to expand the export market not only in the US but also towards Europe, Japan and other countries with strict standards.
